Microsoft ogłosił zasady licencjonowania SQL Server 2012

Microsoft ogłosił na swoich strona szczegółowe zasady licencjonowania najnowszego serwera SQL Server 2012. Ma się on pojawić w sprzedaży już połowie tego roku. Społeczność jest podzielona, gdyż nie wszystkim nowe zasady się podobają.

Nowe zasady zmniejszają liczbę dostępnych wariantów licencji do Standard, Enterprise i Business Inteligence. Nie będzie już zatem edycji Workgroup, z której wiele osób korzystało (była tańsza od Standard), edycji Web (pozostanie tylko dla klientów posiadających umowy Service Platform Level Agreement).
