This paper is a review of the Pascal programming language. It addresses the origin of the language, discusses the architecture, and talks about the language standards. The author will confront the major criticisms of the language, explaining the origin and inaccuracy of the many myths about Pascal. Finally, he will address the Pascal implementations available today, comparing the different compilers and the different platforms on which Pascal is currently available.
